Cannot resist a comment (and a pic) on parking protocols in Greece. There aren't any! Just park where you like and if you block someone in?... Well - c'est la vie! (oops, wrong language, but you get the message).
Motor bikes are everywhere. Little scooters with motor mower engines right through to big Harleys etc. Some riders wear helmets - many don't. A great way to get around.

ReplyDeleteI empathise with you on the 'iconed out" feeling. I felt like that when the Georgians kept wanting to take us to see more and more old churches. Two was enough. Eight was too many.
You are getting the key aspects recorded very well. Typing and travelling at the same time makes me dizzy but you seem to be doing well.
The pics add another dimension too.
The Parking blog and the mention of motor scooters gave me flashbacks (scary nightmares) to Vietnam. I guess it will be a good warm-up for the Rome traffic coming up eventually.
